Rethink Breast Cancer presents
An Evening Devoted to the Health of your Breasts
Our first breast health education evening was a great success! We are thrilled at the overwhelming response we received - clearly women are looking for real ways to be breast health savvy and want to know the facts.
On November 18, over 200 people gathered at the stylish Fluid Living loft for "An Evening Devoted to the Health of your Breasts". The evening began with an exclusive screening of Mammogram, an upbeat short film by Lisa Hayes and Michelle Smith of Hazy Pictures. Guests participated in an intimate and interactive discussion facilitated by Dr. Marla Shapiro - Breast Cancer in Canada: Myths, Perceptions, Reality and Controversy; Stacy Irvine - The Impact of Exercise on Breast Cancer Prevention; Dr. James Meschino - The Role of Nutrition in Breast Cancer Prevention. Attendees then mused on their new insights over complimentary cocktails, courtesy of Bombay Sapphire and munchies by Stuart & Saladino.
The winner of the fabulous slumber party prize is Sarah Johnston! Congratulations!
Thank you to the wonderful contributors to this event: Dr. Shapiro, Stacy Irvine, Dr. James Meschino and Paula Seigel. Rethink also wishes to thank our generous sponsors for supporting "An Evening Devoted to the Health of your Breasts". Special thanks to leading sponsors ING Direct and Shoppers Drug Mart!
