RETHINK ROCKS

Rethink Breast Cancer teamed up with the music industry to raise awareness and funds for the cause. With our presenting sponsor Osis, on November 7, 2002 at the Bright Pearl Restaurant (Dundas & Spadina) in Toronto, Rethink Rocks was launched to the enthusiastic, stylish and energetic fans of the punk rock era. This innovative Punk Rock Karaoke Event celebrated the icons that defined the punk movement. With Martinis by Bombay Sapphire the event came complete with a combustible soundtrack, campy back-arching and leg-thrusting guitar star poses on stage, wild and crazy hairdos and plenty of leather and torn denim. The interactive fundraiser got guests re-enacting key moments in rock history. On hand that evening were a group of Guerilla Hair Stylists helping guests look the part (big hair and all!) with hair products by Osis. Approximately 400 people attended the event which was covered by City TV, CTV, National Post, Now Magazine and raised over $20,000 for Rethink!
