Before the holidays, we asked for your urgent support in raising funds for Janet, and our Support Saturdays program. We are very close to achieving our goal! Please support this important fundraising campaign by making a donation now to ensure that women like Janet get the support they need.
Janet was first diagnosed with breast cancer after the birth of her second child, Julian. After rigorous treatment doctors explained that she was at very high risk for recurrence. For three years, Janet and her family have lived with the uncertainty that one day her breast cancer would return, with a vengeance. Before the holidays, Janet was given the heartbreaking news that her breast cancer has metastasized. Janet and her family need our help.
Support Saturdays is a flexible family supportive care program that allows breast cancer patients who have babies and small children to share their concerns about breast cancer in a confidential manner with peers and an experienced professional facilitator. This program ensures that new moms in treatment for, or recovering from, breast cancer who wish to link with peers and get professional psychosocial support, can do so easily and in a timely fashion.
