Seven Summits Challenge - the ultimate mountain climbing experience!

The Seven Summits Challenge is a unique opportunity for breast cancer survivors, friends, family, and Rethink supporters to join in the fight against breast cancer by collecting pledges in support of Rethink Breast Cancer while achieving a personal triumph. 

The Seven Summits are the seven highest peaks on seven continents.

• Indonesia: Carstensz Pyramid  4,884m
• Antarctica:  Vinson Massif  4,897m
• Russia: Elvus    5,633m
• Tanzania: Kilimanjaro  5,963m
• Alaska: Denali    6,195m
• Argentina: Aconcaqua:  6,962m 
• Tibet/Nepal: Everest   8,848m

There are two ways you can participate in the Seven Summit Challenge:

1 - Climb with a group

• The Seven Summits Challenge facilitators can help you to organize a climb up any of the Seven Summits by putting you in touch with other climbers. 

• The next Kilimanjaro climb for Rethink is scheduled for July 2007. If you are interested in finding out more, click here.  Note: Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania is the most accessible Seven Summits peak. It is not a technical climb and is accessible to most people who are physically fit. 

2 -Climb on your own

• Individual trips enable you to climb the Seven Summits on your own schedule while still raising money for Rethink.  Contact cdnsevensummits@yahoo.ca for information and advice on how to plan.

Visit www.reachout4rethink.org, a microsite that allows our supporters to fundraise online.  Collect donations and pledges from sponsors anywhere in the world, instantly and securely. Climbers participating in the Seven Summits Challenge are able to set up an online fundraising page which can be personalized with a message and photos to email to an infinite number of contacts. Sponsors can use credit cards to donate or pledge online, and can monitor your fundraising progress at any time.
