- Any new, hard lump or thickening in any part of the breast
- Pain or swelling in one spot (independent of pain and swelling associated with monthly cycle)
- Change in breast size or shape
- Dimpling, puckering and/or redness of the skin and warmth that does not go away
- An itchy, sore, or scaling area on one nipple
- Nipple discharge that starts suddenly and appears only in one breast
- Pulling in (inversion) of the nipple
