Rethink Breast Cancer is a bold charity that supports young people affected by and concerned about breast cancer through innovative education, research and support programs.
We do this by:
Educating young women about the importance of breast health awareness. Many young women feel alienated and fearful of considering their risks and their breast health. Our brochures and education pieces are bright, colourful and designed to take some of the fear out of the issues – women who are aware of their breasts are the best guardians of their own health.
Raising awareness about the unique needs of young women who are battling breast cancer.Women diagnosed in their 20s and 30s face unique challenges with treatment, fertility, child care issues, work, financial obstacles, sexuality and relationships. We have recently launched a young survivor message board on our website and are exploring partnerships with other breast cancer groups concerned about young women and breast cancer.
